6grid project
To our goal, we have been developing IPv6-enabled Globus grid toolkit.
Globus grid toolkit is a de facto standard implementation of the Grid conception.
The target version of Globus is 2.2.3.

You can find the status of software development. Also, you can download the software, although it partly contains incomplete Globus bundle. (see detail.)


This web page is to report our 6 Grid Project activity.
Downloading the software is limited for only registered people. We would like to know the number of people who are interested in our activity. The gathered information is used only for statistical purpose (in master thesis and Ph.D thesis.). Again, the registered information is safely managed in the project.

Registered user will receives the password for downloading within a couple of days.

1. Follow the installation instructions of the Globus Toolkit 2.2 specified in the Globus web site with the IPv6-enabled source bundles.

2, For using IPv6 address, it should be configured in /etc/hosts.

3. It is possible for user to configure globus-gatekeeper to listen on IPv4 or IPv6 in the configuration file globus-gatekeeper.conf or the command line of globus-gatekeeper. You can setup one more configuration option [gatekeeper_pf], which has default value IPv46. With IPv46 setting, globus gatekeeper is started with both IPv4 and IPv6 listener at same port.

4. Edit LOCAL_HOSTNAME in the $GLOBUS_LOCATION/sbin/globus-mds as follows for IPv6-enabled MDS.
